Do you know that English alphabets make different sounds depending on the word they are a part of, the alphabets that they are next to, or even the origin of the word itself. This makes the English language pronunciation harder to learn through reading. However a majority (75-80%) of the words use a dominant sound for the alphabets. Take a look at the alphabet table below to learn the dominant phonetic sound for each alphabet.

Next time you spell a word, try spelling it using phonic sounds. You will be able to understand that most words can be pronounced correctly using their phonic sounds rather than their alphabet sounds. This also makes it easier for kids to learn and read.
